Introducing birdpet, an in terminal birdwatching idle game. The game is designed to be relaxing, allowing users to enjoy watching birds inline on their favorite terminal emulator. birdpet features over 60 birds, 13 locations, and more coming soon. You can feed, pet, and interact with the birds. The game is open source and available on GitHub, so feel free to contribute or suggest new features.

Full honesty I vibe coded this toy in like a day, so it is not perfect. I hope it builds appreciation for birds and birdwatching, and maybe even inspires some to get into the hobby. It also makes being stuck behind a terminal at work a little more fun.
